Impact Services
Impact services are not just about feeding people's stomachs but rather about feeding people's souls with the tools of faith, hope, encouragement, listening, and food. After volunteers attend an hour-long, educational Volunteer Orientation, held every 3rd Saturday here at 89 Ellis St NE, Atlanta, GA 30303, we welcome attendees, individuals, and groups, to come out to help serve meals by being with those we seek to serve. If you are interested in learning more about Impact Meals and why/how they are so impactful, please contact Chuck Wilbanks at [email protected] for more information about how you can help change the lives of people who are hurting! To sign up for the Volunteer Orientation, please sign up at this Eventbrite link. https://www.eventbrite.com/myevent?eid=401282315207 Impact Meals are held Monday - Friday from 5 pm - 8 pm at 89 Ellis. After orientation, those who attended will receive a link to sign up to volunteer as individuals (with a plus 1). If you have a church, organization, or group that would like to provide meals for our friends and serve, please email [email protected]. |
Mission Teams
SafeHouse hosts thousands of volunteers each year and many of these serve with mission teams. These groups range in size from 10 to 100+ individuals who come to downtown Atlanta for a day, a weekend, or a whole week. In that time they learn what life is like for people in extreme poverty and how SHO and our partners serve and help to impact those in need. |
Atlanta Guardian
While SafeHouse sees hundreds of individuals every week, we know that there are many people, even within our own neighborhood, who may not know who we are and what we do. Atlanta Guardian teams seek to meet individuals where they are in hopes that we can form relationships and encourage them to join us at SafeHouse and receive assistance. |
