Urban Accommodations
Stay at the SafeHouse Urban Center in downtown Atlanta. Not a shelter, our dorm rooms are for Youth Groups, Men’s Groups, Women’s Bible Studies, Corporate Groups and Family Teams.
Urban Tours
- Unholy Land Tour
A 2-hour mission trip by bus through the areas of Atlanta that most people never see. Large and small group tours available.
- City Walks
Take a walk around the city for an up close and personal experience. Experienced Urban Missionaries will show introduce you to the people and the places of Atlanta. 1 – 2 hour walks. Any group sizes welcomed.

Urban Outreach Opportunities
- Corporate Community Give Back
Opportunities for corporations, civic organizations to give back to the community through various serving projects. Corporations such as Skanska, Assurant Solutions, KPMG, Bank of America, Hard Rock Cafe, Tensar and Verizon have participated.

- Impact Services
7 nights a week, SHO partners with churches and organizations to bring inspiration, music and meals. Serve with us!

- Soup and Sox
We take groups into the community to talk to the displaced and homeless and ask if they’d like to come back to SHO for a hot bowl of soup and a clean pair of socks. Great outreach for school groups! Especially impacting on cold, wet days. It’s Sandwich and Sox in the summer.

- Community Outreach
Bring your group to a block party or street festival to give, serve, and love. Join a planned outreach or we can customize one for your organization to experience. Refreshments, entertainment, kids zone, health fair, and more give great hands-on experience to the phrase ‘giving back’.

- Picnic in the Park
Groups walk a couple of blocks to city parks from SHO. Frisbees, footballs, even checkers, as well as a picnic lunch and spontaneous outreach. We encourage volunteers to ‘just play’ with those they meet and to share a sandwich or a drink with them. Outreach is about being a friend.
